HOLLAND DA GREEN LIGHT TO THE TEST WITH TRUCK "SELF" HIGHWAY CONVENTIONAL
Netherlands wants to be the first country to have trucks and autonomous vehicles running on its roads
The Dutch government has granted authorization for testing trucks and autonomous vehicles in conventional carretreras of his country, but in the short term. Now technicians of the research institute TNO in the Netherlands are finalizing the last details. Tests have more time. Mercedes-Benz at the IAA presented the Future Truck 2025 says governments should allow these tests on main roads, as currently, the tests can be performed on segundarias roads only.
Goodbye drivers?
No. Many people generate certain prejudice and mistrust against these autonomous vehicles, but the reality of the presentation of the Future autonomous Truck Mercedes-Benz makes it clear how you can use. The idea is not to reduce the number of drivers of these vehicles that can travel alone on the road, but can not park or maneuver loading and unloading. Moreover, we can think of it this way: A plane can also take off or land without a pilot, but a drone imagine? Of course not all aircraft has his crew, so that trucks can travel alone, but the driver must be present in all the way.
The idea is that in 2025 Mercedes-Benz Truck begin selling the autonomous trucks.
